Listening to: The Divine Comedy, Down In The Street Below
I wore this to go the city theatre with my mom and some relatives to attend a "post-Christmas/pre-New Year" concert featuring a gospel choir. It was actually pretty good, I love choirs and music in general, but I didn't like the very long and lousy do-gooder introduction by the choir director on trite cliches such as "during Christmas we are all on our best behaviour". Blargh. Call me Mrs. Grinch, but I dislike such speeches.
| So serious!! |
^^ anyway this Christmas I felt so special and surrounded by love! I received from my family and friends the most amazing Christmas presents :) maybe I'll do a cheesy post with all I received for Christmas (to make you burst with envy haha), but for now I'll just say that one of the gifts was a Remington sleek and curl flat iron, and you can see the results in this post. I couldn't stop petting my hair, they were so glossy and straight!
Lately my days has been filled with happiness :) Christmas celebrations with my whole family, seeing my friends, lazing with Moreno on the sofa...perfection. Yesterday Debora came here, we watched a couple of movies and then we talked until 2 or 3 in the morning. It was awesome. You know, these are the things I'll miss most when she'll return to England. So we have to take advantage of the time she's going to spend here in Italy.
Aaand...this afternoon I'm finally going to meet Alice! I can't wait, I haven't seen her in 6 months!
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one stuck here in Italy (both of my dearest friends now live abroad- Alice went to Canada, Debora to England). It's kind of sad, and of course I'm a little envious, but it's also a peaceful feeling, because I can feel this is the place where I belong.

Back to important things now ^^ about this dress, well, I adore it. My aunt made it (as usual) and I added this handmade lace collar I found on ebay.it. And now it's cuter than ever!
Scarf: I made it!
Bag: Terranova
Coat: Cache Cache
Dress: handmade
Tights: Calzedonia
Shoes: La Nouvelle
Have an amazing day, darlings!
P.s. did you notice? There's a little poll at your right (above the "wanderers" gadget). Vote to let me know if you want me to post in English and in Italian! The majority of my readers are from the U.S., but I also have a lot of Italian readers, so I thought it would be nice for them if I posted in both languages. Let me know what you think!

That's a really cute dress, especially that collar is amazing, and those heels are gorgeous! And I hate those kind of speeches too. I think it's so strange that suddenly, at christmas, we have to try and be good people, instead of you know, ALWAYS?! Weird people. I really like your coat/jacket too, it's like a short trenchcoat! Oh and your hair is perfect too! Can't wait to see you with curls! :-) Have fun with your friends, time goes so quickly I can barely comprehend it so spend as much time with each other as you can! And I'm curious about your presents! :-)
cute ! very cute ! :)

I love your bag and how bright and happy you look in red.
I love the tights. I always want to buy coloured tights, but I'm never confident enough to wear them! http://empireofkitsch.blogspot.com/
